In recent years, perovskite solar cells (PSCs) are performing remarkably with efficiency more than 20%. Performance can further be improved by controlling charge transfer and recombination at electron transport material (ETM)/absorber and absorber/hole transport material (HTM) interfaces which ultimately define conduction band offset (CBO) and valence band offset (VBO). Therefore, it is worthwhile to investigate optimum band offset to get efficient PSCs. Spiro-MeOTAD is organic HTM commonly used in PSCs while CuI, CuSCN and Cu2O are inorganic HTMs which may replace spiro-MeOTAD due to their low cost and stability. In this paper, device simulation approach is used to analyze the effect of CBO, VBO and interface defect density (Nt) on the performance of PSCs for spiro-MeOTAD as organic HTM and its detailed comparison is made with Cu-based inorganic HTMs to get better insight about the best inorganic HTM. The device simulation shows that CuI has the best PCE of 22.69% when CBO and VBO is set to be +0.2 eV and 0 eV respectively at Nt of 1 × 1015 cm?3. The results indicate that Cu-based inorganic HTMs are efficient as well as stable HTMs and can be used towards commercializing the PSCs.

Chemistry graduates have much scope to use their knowledge in a range of research sectors, including roles within chemical engineering, chemical and related industries, healthcare and more. Reference of 1111-67-7. Introducing a new discovery about 1111-67-7, Name is Cuprous thiocyanate, The appropriate choice of redox mediator can avoid electrode passivation and overpotential, which strongly inhibit the efficient activation of substrates in electrolysis.

Five copper(I) complexes having general formula [Cu2(mu-X) 2(kappa2-P,P-B-dppf)2] (X = Cl(1), Br(2), I(3), CN(4), and SCN(5)) were prepared starting with CuX and B-dppf in 1:1 molar ratio in DCM-MeOH (50:50 V/V) at room temperature. The complexes have been characterized by elemental analyses, IR, 1H NMR, 31P NMR and electronic spectral studies. Molecular structures for 1, 2 and 4 were determined crystallographically. Complexes 1, 2 and 4 exist as centrosymmetric dimers in which the two copper atoms are bonded to two bridging B-dppf ligands and two bridging (pseudo-)halide groups in a mu-eta1 bonding mode to generate nearly planar Cu2(mu-eta1-X)2 framework. Both bridging B-dppf ligands are arranged in antiperiplanar staggered conformation in 1 and 2 (mean value 56.40-56.76), and twisted from the eclipsed conformation (mean value 78.19) in 4. The Phi angle value in 4 is relatively larger as compared to 1 and 2. This seems to indicate that the molecular core [Cu2(mu-eta1-X)2] in 4 is a sterically demanding system that forces the B-dppf ligand to adopt a relatively strained conformation in comparison to less strained system in 1 and 2. All the complexes exhibit moderately strong luminescence properties in the solution state at ambient temperature.

Ternary copper(II) and binary copper(II), nickel(II) and cobalt(II) complexes derived from 4,4?-((4-nitro-1,2-phenylene)bis(azanylylidene))bis(3-(hydroxyimino)pentan-2-one) (H2L) were synthesized and characterized by elemental and thermal analyses, IR, UV-Vis. and 1H NMR spectroscopy, conductivity and magnetic moments measurements. The analytical and spectral data showed that, the ligand acts as dibasic tetradentate or dibasic hexadentate bonding to the metal ion via the two-imine nitrogen, two nitrogen and/or oximato oxygen atoms of deprotonated oxime groups forming five and/or six rings including the metal ions. The complexes adopt either tetragonal distorted octahedral or square planar geometry around metal ions. The ESR spectra of the solid copper(II) complexes are characteristic to d9 configuration and having an axial symmetry type of a d(x2-y2) ground state. The g values confirmed the geometry is elongated tetragonal octahedral geometry with considerably ionic or covalent environment. The antifungal biological activity of the prepared compounds was studied using well diffusion method. The obtained results showed that, the ligand is biologically inactive while its metal complexes were more potent fungicides than the ligand and standard antifungal drug (Amphotericin B).

Incorporation of the CF3 group into arenes has found increasing importance in drug discovery. Herein, we report the first photoredox-catalyzed cross-coupling of aryl thianthrenium salts with a copper-based trifluoromethyl reagent, which enables a site-selective late-stage trifluoromethylation of arenes. The reaction proceeds with broad functional group tolerance, even for complex small molecules on gram scale. The method was further extended to produce pentafluoroethylated derivatives.

Application of 1111-67-7, The dynamic chemical diversity of the numerous elements, ions and molecules that constitute the basis of life provides wide challenges and opportunities for research. In an article, once mentioned the application of 1111-67-7, Name is Cuprous thiocyanate, is a conventional compound.

Surface spectroscopic characterisation of some Cu and Ag thiolate multilayers on metal and metal sulfide substrates was undertaken to establish unequivocally the composition and possible orientation of the multilayer species. This information was sought to attempt to explain the undiminished floatability of sulfide minerals observed for collector coverage exceeding a monolayer. The thiol collectors investigated were dithiophosphate and 2-mercaptobenzothiazole (MBT), and bulk CuMBT and AgMBT complexes were prepared for comparison with the corresponding multilayers. Surface optimised synchrotron X-ray photoelectron spectra and partial electron yield near-edge X-ray absorption fine structure (NEXAFS) spectra confirmed that the Cu dithiolate, detected by secondary ion mass spectroscopy (SIMS), was no more than a minor constituent of the corresponding multilayer. The photoelectron spectra for multilayer CuMBT and AgMBT were similar to those for the corresponding bulk complexes. NEXAFS spectroscopy detected some CuII in bulk CuMBT prepared from cupric ions but not cuprous. The SIMS data were consistent with multilayer patches or islands on top of a chemisorbed monolayer and hence continued exposure of the monolayer in the presence of the multilayer. For each multilayer investigated, the SIMS data provided no evidence to support a multinuclear cluster structure as is present in the corresponding bulk thiolate, but nor could they exclude such a possibility. Angle-dependent NEXAFS spectroscopy at the N K-edge confirmed that MBT monolayers were aligned and revealed that the metal thiolate multilayer was not aligned relative to the substrate, but might nevertheless have been ordered in a cluster structure. It was surmised that undiminished floatability of sulfide minerals with multilayer collector coverage could probably be attributed to the patch-wise nature of the multilayer.

A simple one-pot colloidal method has been described to engineer ternary CuInS2 nanocrystals with different crystal phases and morphologies, in which dodecanethiol is chosen as the sulfur source and the capping ligands. By a careful choice of the anions in the metal precursors and manipulation of the reaction conditions including the reactant molar ratios and the reaction temperature, CuInS2 nanocrystals with chalcopyrite, zincblende and wurtzite phases have been successfully synthesized. The type of anion in the metal precursors has been found to be essential for determining the crystal phase and morphology of the as-obtained CuInS2 nanocrystals. In particular, the presence of Cl- ions plays an important role in the formation of CuInS2 nanoplates with a wurtzite-zincblende polytypism structure. In addition, the molar ratios of Cu to In precursors have a significant effect on the crystal phase and morphology, and the intermediate Cu2S-CuInS2 heteronanostructures are formed which are critical for the anisotropic growth of CuInS2 nanocrystals. Furthermore, the optical absorption results of the as-obtained CuInS2 nanocrystals exhibit a strong dependence on the crystal phase and size.
